When the trail narrows, traction and predictable handling become everything — these Bola 29er carbon rims are built to change how your 29er behaves across XC, trail and light enduro terrain. Available in four weight tiers and two wave-profile heights, they let you tune wheel mass and lateral stiffness without changing rim geometry or spoke count.

Mounted with modern 2.2–2.6" tyres, the 30mm inner width reshapes the tyre profile for stronger cornering grip and reduced pinch-flat risk, while the wave profile balances low drag and responsive feel so acceleration and control stay connected on variable terrain.

29er Carbon MTB Rim – Designed for XC, trail and light enduro

The rim pairs a 36mm outer width with a 30mm inner channel and is optimised for 28-spoke lacing. Choose a 20mm or 25mm wave height to prioritise lower drag and lighter feel or a stiffer lateral platform respectively. Four precision weight tiers—380g, 350g, 325g, and 300g per rim—are offered so riders can prioritise durability or weight savings while retaining the same ERD and spoke pattern.

Why it fits your routine

  • Versatile sizing: ISO 622 (29er) diameter with 36mm outer and 30mm inner width fits 2.0–2.6" MTB tyres and is tubeless-ready.
  • Profile options: 20mm wave for XC/marathon where weight and low drag matter; 25mm wave for trail and light enduro that benefit from added lateral stiffness.
  • Weight tiers for discipline tuning: Standard 380±15g for all-mountain/enduro durability; Superlight 350±10g for trail balance; Ultralight 325±10g for XC race focus; Extreme Light 300±10g for competitive XC where lowest mass is priority.
  • Consistent assembly geometry: 28-hole, ERD 589mm, and spoke-hole diameter 4.5mm (customisable) keep wheelbuilding straightforward across weight grades.
  • Strength metrics: Forward compressive strength >300 kg, lateral torsion resistance >50 kg, and spoke-hole tension >280 kg provide quantifiable structural margins across grades.
  • Precision tolerances: Flatness <0.15mm, roundness <0.3mm and dynamic balance <3g support accurate, predictable wheel behaviour.
  • Pressure and rider limits: Recommended tyre pressures range 45–65 psi; maximum rider weight guideline is 120 kg, with heavier riders advised toward heavier grades.
  • Valve and compatibility: Standard Presta valve with 6.5mm hole; Schrader requires re-drilling. Compatible with J-bend and straight-pull spokes and standard tubeless tape and valves.

Selecting a lighter grade reduces rim mass by up to ~21% from Standard to Extreme Light but narrows the safety margin for heavy impacts; riders running high pressures near 65 psi or weighing over 90 kg should favour Standard or Superlight grades for greater impact tolerance.
