The Bola 29er carbon MTB wheelset — a 30mm-internal, 30mm-deep rim on DT Swiss 350 hubs with Sapim D-light spokes (~1400g), tubeless-ready for trail XC and Climbing.

A proven hub, a modern rim: Bola pairs a 30mm-inner carbon hoop with the dependable DT Swiss 350 hub and bladed Sapim D-light spokes, replacing heavy stock wheels for trail and XC riders.

Buying Guide.

Internal width - 30mm: 2.0-2.6" tires at ~20-25 PSI for trail - run a narrow 2.0-2.2" for XC speed, a wider 2.4-2.6" for enduro grip.

Hub grade - DT Swiss 350: the proven, serviceable hub choice - choose it when reliability, a wide service network and crisp pickup matter over the price.

Build choice: bladed spokes in a balanced build, with HG or XD freehub and 6-bolt or Center Lock - pick the freehub and rotor standard at checkout.

Same-family: the premium build in Bola's MTB wheelsets - the value XMN30 wheelset (BL350, $540) sits below it, and the 29er 6-Spoke Wheelset ($990) above.

Rated to a 105kg system weight.

Target Audience & Usage Notes.

Trail, all-mountain and XC riders wanting a proven-hub upgrade.

Not DH.

Choose freehub and end caps at checkout; rotors 6-bolt or Center Lock.

The Ride That Awaits.

Open the trail and hear the DT Swiss 350 click crisply into engagement - you put the power down and it goes, no lag, no hesitation. Set it tubeless and the wide rim floats over roots and rock gardens, bladed spokes holding a stiff, precise line through rough descents. Choose your freehub and end caps; a 2-year wheelset warranty means you simply ride.

Trade-offs & Considerations
Aero vs Crosswind: The shallow 30mm rim gains essentially nothing aerodynamically versus a 25mm profile at 40km/h (under 0.5W) and stays calm at 10° yaw on exposed fire roads; the 30mm internal width trades that marginal aero for tyre volume and cornering traction.
Weight vs Stiffness: At 1400g the T1000 carbon build saves about 465g versus a typical 1865g 30mm alloy competitor (±5g), while lateral stiffness stays within 3%; the DT Swiss 350 ratchet adds service reliability over exotic light hubs.
Tire-Type Trade-off: The hooked bead accepts tubeless MTB tyres from about 2.25 to 2.6 inches; tubeless lets you run 20–25 psi for grip, but needs tape, valve and sealant, trading a little pinch-flat margin against rim impacts.
Sourcing & Delivery Trade-off: The stock build ships in 1–3 business days at $890; a custom freehub, decal or lacing adds 7–15 business days and roughly a $60–100 premium.
Config Ladder: The DT Swiss 350 36T ratchet gives 10° engagement with steel bearings; a 54T ratchet service shortens engagement to 6.7° for about +$80, and a ceramic bearing swap cuts about 1.5W of hub friction for about +$120.

FAQ
Will this wheelset bolt straight onto my Shimano groupset?
A Shimano HG freehub is fitted, so an HG cassette mounts directly; note at checkout if you run SRAM XD/XDR and we will fit the matching body.
What is in the box for a 29er tubeless trail build?
Each set arrives ready for tubeless with rim tape, valve and spare spokes included, so you can mount tyres and add sealant without ordering extras for the trail.
Will the rim crack on rock gardens or bottom-outs at low pressure?
The rim bead area uses a thickened impact-reinforced layer; impact testing passes >40J extreme impacts (above the ISO 30J standard). An inner width of 30mm accepts wider tyres, which deform to absorb shock at low pressure.
If the wheel is badly damaged in extreme riding, am I covered?
Yes — beyond the 2-year factory warranty, you get lifetime 30% Crash Replacement: a discounted replacement wheel without paying full price.
Will I really pay no customs or VAT for delivery to the US and EU?
Yes. The Economy channel ships DDP — duties and VAT are fully prepaid by us, cleared in advance, delivered to your door with no extra payment to customs or the courier.
