The Bola CE 35G is a 35mm wide-platform T1000 carbon gravel disc wheelset on a DT Swiss OEM 36T hub with foil carbon spokes, 1250g, for gravel racing and mixed-terrain endurance.

The gravel blade: 35mm wide, 1250g, DT Swiss ratchet. The Bola CE 35G wraps a 35mm T1000 rim (36mm external, 30mm internal) around a DT Swiss OEM 36T ratchet hub with foil carbon spokes — a purpose-built gravel wheelset pairing wide rim support with quick ratchet engagement.

Buying Guide.

Internal width - 30mm: 35-48c gravel at 30-45 PSI over rough gravel; lift to 35-40c at 50-65 PSI for fast road sectors.

Max rider weight: rated to 105kg - check rider plus gear.

Same-depth series: the EXP 35G (~$999) keeps steel CX-Ray spokes and the EXT 35G (~$1111) goes ultralight ceramic; the CE 35G pairs a DT ratchet hub with foil carbon spokes.

Adjacent depth: the CE 50G above adds aero on straight gravel - choose the 35G for elevation, the 50G for speed.

Target Audience & Usage Notes.

Disc-brake gravel and road frames, 12x100/12x142 or QR.

Max system weight 105kg.

Not for aggressive off-road or extreme impacts.

The Ride That Awaits.

The packed gravel road settles wide and sure beneath you - the rim beds the tire into a stable footprint, the ratchet clicks through rutted corners, and the climb out of the valley asks less than it used to. Free shipping and a 3-year rim / 2-year wheelset warranty mean the back roads are waiting.

Trade-offs & Considerations
Aero vs Crosswind: The 35mm gravel section saves about 3.0W versus a 25mm rim at 40km/h and stays calm at 10° yaw on exposed gravel; the 30mm internal width trades a little aero for high tyre volume and low-pressure traction.
Weight vs Stiffness: At 1250g the T1000 carbon-spoke build saves about 345g versus a typical 1595g steel-spoke gravel competitor (±5g), while lateral stiffness stays within 3%; the foil carbon spokes cut drag versus bladed steel spokes.
Tire-Type Trade-off: The hooked/hookless bed accepts 35c–48c gravel tubeless at 30–45 psi; tubeless runs lower pressure for grip but needs tape, valve and sealant, and hookless-rated tyres cap the pressure around 72 psi.
Sourcing & Delivery Trade-off: The stock build ships in 1–3 business days at $1111; a custom decal or lacing adds 7–15 business days and roughly a $80–120 premium.
Config Ladder: The DT Swiss 36T ratchet gives 10° engagement with steel bearings; a ceramic bearing service cuts about 1.5W of hub friction for about +$120, and the foil carbon spokes already save about 80g versus a steel-spoke build.

Recommended Use Cases
Gravel Racing: Fastest-growing US/EU segment — NA holds ≈40% of the global gravel market (2026); Unbound-style endurance events reward wide 30mm beds with 35-50mm tubeless at 35-50 PSI.
Mixed-Surface Adventure: Eurobike 2026 trend toward all-road and 32er builds; this 35mm gravel platform transitions from tarmac to dirt without swapping wheels.
Bikepacking / Expedition: Eurobike/Cyclingworld Europe 2026 highlights bikepacking integration; wide beds carry 40-50mm tyres at low pressure for loaded comfort on rough routes.
Compatibility
Brake Standard: Disc brake, Center Lock rotor (140/160mm)
Axle: Front 12x100mm thru-axle; Rear 12x142mm thru-axle (QR with adapters)

FAQ
Will this wheelset bolt straight onto my Shimano groupset?
A Shimano HG freehub is fitted, so an HG cassette mounts directly; note at checkout if you run SRAM XD/XDR and we will fit the matching body.
Can a damaged carbon spoke be replaced at a local bike shop?
Yes. The spokes use a mechanical two-piece lock-up design (not bonded one-piece), and spare carbon spokes ship free with the wheelset. Any shop mechanic with a standard truing stand can swap a single spoke in about 10 minutes — no factory return needed.
Will carbon spokes snap suddenly in crosswinds or under lateral load?
Carbon spokes deliver ~3,800N tensile strength (above the ~3,000N of top steel spokes) with ~30% higher lateral stiffness. Potholes, hard efforts out of the saddle and everyday riding carry no metal-fatigue fracture risk.
If the wheel is badly damaged in extreme riding, am I covered?
Yes — beyond the 2-year factory warranty, you get lifetime 30% Crash Replacement: a discounted replacement wheel without paying full price.
Will I really pay no customs or VAT for delivery to the US and EU?
Yes. The Economy channel ships DDP — duties and VAT are fully prepaid by us, cleared in advance, delivered to your door with no extra payment to customs or the courier.
