The Bola PRM 60R is a 60mm T1000 UD carbon aero disc wheelset with blade carbon spokes and a 54T ratchet hub, for sprinters and TT riders.

Take sustained road miles, rough gravel stretches or a cyclocross start with confidence: the Bola PRM 60R pairs a 60mm aerodynamic rim with blade carbon spokes so you run modern tubeless tires at pressures that balance speed, grip and comfort.

Buying Guide.

Internal width - 21mm: 28c at 70-80 PSI for smooth tarmac sprints.

Internal width - 24mm: 28-32c at 65-78 PSI for rolling roads and cross starts.

Internal width - 26mm: 35-50c at 30-45 PSI for gravel and mixed-surface corners.

Max rider weight: rated to 120kg - check rider plus gear; the lightweight spoke build is not for heavy impacts.

Same-depth series: the ULT 60R (~$698) keeps steel CX-Ray spokes; the PRM 60R steps up to blade carbon spokes at the same depth for aero and weight savings.

Adjacent depth: the PRM 50R below is calmer in crosswinds - choose the 60R for TT and flat sprints, the 50R for mixed terrain.

Target Audience & Usage Notes.

For sprinters, TT/cyclocross racers and mixed-surface riders wanting carbon-spoke aero.

Max system weight 120kg; the 20/20 spoke count and aero focus mean it is not for heavy-duty DH or extreme off-road.

Disc frame required.

The Ride That Awaits.

Pin the effort and the deep rim and bladed carbon spokes cut the air like a blade through silk - the flat becomes your weapon, the corner exit a launch. The quick hub bites the instant you want it. Free shipping and a 3-year rim / 2-year wheelset warranty mean the only thing slowing you is the wait.

Trade-offs & Considerations
Aero vs Crosswind: The 60mm profile saves about 6.0W versus a 45mm rim at 40km/h on steady tarmac, but at 10° yaw side-force rises sharply and strong gusts need active steering; the 50R gives up about 1.5W of aero for far calmer manners.
Weight vs Stiffness: The deeper 60mm layup weighs 1360g, about 120g more than the 50R (±5g) for extra aero; T1000 keeps lateral stiffness within 3% while blade carbon spokes offset some of the added depth mass.
Tire-Type Trade-off: The hooked bed accepts clincher and tubeless from 28c to 50c; the 21/24/26mm internal options favour 28c road at 70–80 PSI, and hookless-rated tyres cap around 72 PSI.
Sourcing & Delivery Trade-off: Stock builds ship in 1–3 business days at $888; custom decals or lacing add 7–15 business days and roughly a $100–150 premium.
Config Ladder: Moving from Enduro steel to ceramic bearings cuts about 1.5W of hub friction for roughly +$120 (the PRO step-up); widening the internal bed from 21 to 26mm adds gravel volume for about +5g.

Recommended Use Cases
Triathlon / Time Trial: IM and club TT fields reward deep-section aero; 60mm profile minimises drag on flat-to-rolling courses where aero dominates climbing.
Aero Road Racing: Fast flat road races and crits on disc frames; 2026 WorldTour teams run 28-30mm tubeless — pair the inner bed accordingly for rolling speed.
Race-Pace Training: Open, fast courses where holding aero position pays off; stable crosswind handling builds confidence before race day.
Compatibility
Brake Standard: Disc brake, Center Lock rotor (140/160mm)
Axle: Front 12x100mm thru-axle; Rear 12x142mm thru-axle (QR with adapters)
Freehub: Shimano HG / SRAM XDR (select at checkout)
Tire: Tubeless-ready clincher, 25-50mm

FAQ
Can a damaged carbon spoke be replaced at a local bike shop?
Yes. The spokes use a mechanical two-piece lock-up design (not a bonded one-piece), and spare carbon spokes ship free with the wheelset. Any shop mechanic with a standard truing stand can swap a single spoke in about 10 minutes - no factory return needed.
Will carbon spokes snap suddenly in crosswinds or under lateral load?
Carbon spokes deliver ~3,800N tensile strength (above the ~3,000N of top steel spokes) with ~30% higher lateral stiffness. Potholes, sprinting out of the saddle and everyday riding carry no metal-fatigue fracture risk.
How does this 60mm deep rim handle crosswinds on fast descents?
An optimised 60mm profile keeps steering torque predictable at 10°–15° yaw, so high-speed descents stay planted.
Which tyres should I run, and at what pressure?
On the 21-24mm bed run 28mm road at 70-80 PSI; on the 26mm bed run gravel at 30-45 PSI. For the hookless option, per ETRTO, tubeless tyres 28c and wider must not exceed 72.5 PSI (5.0 bar) to prevent unseating.
Will I really pay no customs or VAT for delivery to the US and EU?
Yes. The Economy channel ships DDP - duties and VAT are fully prepaid by us, cleared in advance, delivered to your door with no extra payment to customs or the courier.
