The Bola PRO 45G is a 45mm T1000 carbon gravel disc wheelset with foil carbon spokes and a ceramic BL240 hub, 1200g, for balanced road-and-gravel speed.

The balanced blade: 45mm of composed speed. The Bola PRO 45G strikes the middle chord between aero urgency and crosswind calm — a 45mm T1000 rim, wide 32-36mm body and foil carbon spokes deliver 1200g of reactive momentum on a ceramic-hubbed BL240.

Buying Guide.

Internal width - 26mm: 28-32c at 80-100 PSI for tarmac.

Internal width - 28mm: 32-38c at 60-80 PSI for all-road.

Internal width - 30mm: 35-45c at 35-50 PSI for gravel.

Max rider weight: rated to 110kg - check rider plus gear.

Same-depth series: the EXP 45R (~$999) uses a genuine DT Swiss 240s hub and the EXT 45R (~$1111) goes lighter with ceramic bearings; the PRO 45G sits the balanced middle.

Adjacent depth: the PRO 40G climbs lighter and the PRO 50G cuts cleaner air - choose the 45G for the all-round balance.

Target Audience & Usage Notes.

Disc-brake road and gravel frames, thru-axle (12x100/12x142) or QR.

Max system weight 110kg.

Not for off-road mountain biking or heavy trail use.

The Ride That Awaits.

Not so deep that you brace the gusts, not so shallow that you lose the draft - the rim reads every road as confidence. You hold the line, the group, the moment; the ceramic hub hums through it all. Free shipping and a 3-year rim / 2-year wheelset warranty mean waiting is the only gamble left.

Trade-offs & Considerations
Aero vs Crosswind: The 45mm depth saves about 4.0W versus a 35mm gravel rim at 40km/h; at 10° yaw the 32–36mm outer width is lively in exposed open sections, and the 40G trades about 1.0W for calmer manners.
Weight vs Stiffness: T1000 with foil carbon spokes reaches 1200g, about 120g lighter than a steel-spoke 45mm gravel build (±5g), lateral stiffness within 3%; ceramic bearings cut about 1.5W of friction versus steel.
Tire-Type Trade-off: The hooked bed accepts clincher and tubeless from 30c to 62c; the 26/28/30mm internal options favour 35–45c gravel at 35–50 PSI, and hookless-rated tyres cap around 72 PSI.
Sourcing & Delivery Trade-off: Stock builds ship in 1–3 business days at $999; custom decals or lacing add 7–15 business days and roughly a $100–150 premium.
Config Ladder: This set already runs ceramic bearings and foil carbon spokes; the main ladder is the internal width (26→30mm, about +5g for wider gravel volume) and the hub (BL 240 → DT Swiss 240 for global serviceability, roughly +$200 and +5 days).

Recommended Use Cases
Triathlon / Time Trial: IM and club TT fields reward deep-section aero; 45mm profile minimises drag on flat-to-rolling courses where aero dominates climbing.
Aero Road Racing: Fast flat road races and crits on disc frames; 2026 WorldTour teams run 28-30mm tubeless — pair the inner bed accordingly for rolling speed.
Race-Pace Training: Open, fast courses where holding aero position pays off; stable crosswind handling builds confidence before race day.
Compatibility
Brake Standard: Disc brake, Center Lock rotor (140/160mm)
Axle: Front 12x100mm thru-axle; Rear 12x142mm thru-axle (QR with adapters)

FAQ
Can a damaged carbon spoke be replaced at a local bike shop?
Yes. The spokes use a mechanical two-piece lock-up design (not a bonded one-piece), and spare carbon spokes ship free with the wheelset. Any shop mechanic with a standard truing stand can swap a single spoke in about 10 minutes - no factory return needed.
Will carbon spokes snap suddenly in crosswinds or under lateral load?
Carbon spokes deliver ~3,800N tensile strength (above the ~3,000N of top steel spokes) with ~30% higher lateral stiffness. Potholes, sprinting out of the saddle and everyday riding carry no metal-fatigue fracture risk.
If the wheel is badly damaged in extreme riding, am I covered?
Yes - beyond the 2-year factory warranty, you get lifetime 30% Crash Replacement: a discounted replacement wheel without paying full price.
Which tyres should I run, and at what pressure?
On the 26mm bed run 28-32c road at 80-100 PSI; on the 30mm bed run 35-45c gravel at 35-50 PSI. Tubeless allows lower pressures.
Will I really pay no customs or VAT for delivery to the US and EU?
Yes. The Economy channel ships DDP - duties and VAT are fully prepaid by us, cleared in advance, delivered to your door with no extra payment to customs or the courier.
