The Bola PRO 50G is a 50mm T1000 wide-platform carbon gravel disc wheelset with foil carbon spokes and a ceramic BL240 hub, for aero gravel speed.

Wide-platform aero for the gravel frontier: the Bola PRO 50G wraps a 50mm T1000 rim in a wide 34-38mm profile, pairing foil carbon spokes with a BL240 54T ceramic hub. Built for riders who chase speed on packed gravel and fast all-road surfaces.

Buying Guide.

Internal width - 28mm: 32-40c at 50-65 PSI for all-road and fast gravel.

Internal width - 30mm: 38-45c at 40-55 PSI for mixed gravel.

Internal width - 32mm: 40-50c at 30-45 PSI for rough gravel and aero gravel racing.

Max rider weight: rated to 120kg - check rider plus gear and frame clearance.

Same-depth series: the EXP 50G (~$999) uses a genuine DT Swiss 240s hub and weighs a touch more; the PRO 50G leans lighter with a ceramic hub.

Adjacent depth: the PRO 45G and PRO 40G below favor climbing and crosswind calm - choose the 50G for raw gravel aero.

Target Audience & Usage Notes.

Disc-brake gravel and road frames with thru-axle (12x100/12x142) or QR.

Max system weight 120kg; wide bed demands frame clearance for 65mm+ tires.

Not for heavy trail/mountain biking.

The Ride That Awaits.

When the fire road opens into a straight, the rim comes alive - you ease to low pressure and the wide platform cradles the rough, then surge and the ceramic hub spins like a thought. Fast, calm, unhurried. Free shipping and a 3-year rim / 2-year wheelset warranty mean you should be on it already.

Trade-offs & Considerations
Aero vs Crosswind: 50mm depth saves about 4.5W versus a 35mm wheel at 40km/h, but crosswind control drops noticeably at 10° yaw on open gravel sections; the 45G variant trades ~2.5W of aero for calmer side-wind handling.
Weight vs Stiffness: T1000 carbon saves about 95g versus a T800 build at the same 50mm depth (±5g), while lateral stiffness stays within 3%; impact resistance remains compliant with ISO 4210-7 reference levels.
Tire-Type Trade-off: Hooked bed accepts clincher and tubeless tyres from 28c to 68c; hookless-rated tyres cap around 72 PSI, so the 28/30/32mm internal options trade max pressure for wider gravel volume and lower rolling resistance.
Sourcing & Delivery Trade-off: Stock build ships in 1–3 business days at $999; custom decal or lacing adds 7–15 business days and roughly a $100–150 premium, which is the main cost of a fully personalised set.
Config Ladder: Moving from steel to ceramic bearings cuts about 1.5W of hub friction for around +$120; swapping to foil carbon spokes saves about 80g versus a steel-spoke build for around +$180 and adds about 5 days to build time.

Recommended Use Cases
Gravel Racing: Fastest-growing US/EU segment — NA holds ≈40% of the global gravel market (2026); Unbound-style endurance events reward wide 28/30/32mm beds with 35-50mm tubeless at 35-50 PSI.
Mixed-Surface Adventure: Eurobike 2026 trend toward all-road and 32er builds; this 50mm gravel platform transitions from tarmac to dirt without swapping wheels.
Bikepacking / Expedition: Eurobike/Cyclingworld Europe 2026 highlights bikepacking integration; wide beds carry 40-50mm tyres at low pressure for loaded comfort on rough routes.

FAQ
Which tyres can I run on the 28/30/32mm internal widths — and what pressure should I use?
The 28/30/32mm internal width options accept tyres from 30c to 68c. Sweet spots: 40–50c gravel at 30–45 PSI and 32–40c road at 50–65 PSI.
What is the maximum system weight?
120kg. This covers rider plus luggage and applies to the 28/30/32mm builds with hookless-rated tubeless tyres.
Can a damaged carbon spoke be replaced at a local bike shop?
Yes. The spokes use a mechanical two-piece lock-up design (not bonded one-piece), and spare carbon spokes ship free with the wheelset. Any shop mechanic with a standard truing stand can swap a single spoke in about 10 minutes — no factory return needed.
If the wheels are badly damaged in extreme riding, am I covered?
Yes — beyond the 2-year factory warranty, you get lifetime 30% Crash Replacement: a discounted replacement wheel without paying full price.
Will I really pay no customs or VAT for delivery to the US and EU?
Yes. The Economy channel ships DDP — duties and VAT are fully prepaid by us, cleared in advance, delivered to your door with no extra payment to customs or the courier.
