The Bola SL 35G is a 35mm T1000 UD carbon gravel disc wheelset on DT Swiss 350 hubs, built for adventure and climbing on mixed surfaces.

For gravel riders tired of owning two wheelsets — one for pavement, one for dirt — the Bola SL 35G answers with a single set of hoops. A 35mm balanced rim, a roomy 30mm internal bed and Sapim CX-Ray spokes ride asphalt, gravel and back-country roads as one.

Buying Guide.

Internal width - 24mm: 28-32c at 60-75 PSI for tarmac and fast all-road sectors.

Internal width - 30mm: 35-48c gravel at 35-50 PSI tubeless for rough gravel, washboard and light bikepacking.

Max rider weight: rated to 105kg - check rider plus gear.

Same-depth series: the ELT 35G (~$579) uses in-house ceramic hubs and the ULT 35G (~$698) sits between; the SL 35G steps up to field-serviceable DT Swiss internals.

Adjacent depth: the SL 45G adds aero on fast gravel roads - choose the 35G when elevation dominates, the 45G for flat-out speed.

Target Audience & Usage Notes.

For gravel racers, all-road riders and light-load bikepackers who value DT Swiss serviceability.

Max system weight 105kg; verify 48mm tire clearance.

Not for heavily laden expedition bikepacking or DH/enduro.

The Ride That Awaits.

Point it up the gravel push and the wheel spins up light beneath you, the washboard fading under wide tubeless rubber as the serviceable hub keeps its quiet vow miles from any shop. By the second valley you are no longer chasing the ride - it is chasing you. Free shipping, VAT included, and a 3-year rim / 2-year wheelset warranty mean there is nothing left to wait for.

Trade-offs & Considerations
Aero vs Crosswind: The 35mm depth saves about 2.5W versus a 25mm gravel rim at 40km/h and stays very calm at 10° yaw — the easy-handling all-roads choice; stepping to a 45G adds about 1.5W more aero.
Weight vs Stiffness: The T1000 rim with Sapim CX-Ray spokes and a DT Swiss 350 hub weighs 1300g; the 24/24 lacing is about 100g heavier than a 20/20 carbon-spoke build but gains durability and cornering stiffness reserve, with lateral stiffness within 3%.
Tire-Type Trade-off: The hooked bed accepts clincher and tubeless from 30c to 62c; the 24/30mm internal options favour 35–48c gravel at 35–50 PSI tubeless, and hookless-rated tyres cap around 72 PSI.
Sourcing & Delivery Trade-off: Stock builds ship in 1–3 business days at $789; custom decals or lacing add 7–15 business days and roughly a $100–150 premium.
Config Ladder: Moving from the steel DT350 to a ceramic bearing hub cuts about 1.5W of friction for roughly +$120; swapping Sapim CX-Ray steel spokes for foil carbon spokes saves about 80g for roughly +$180 and adds about 5 days; the internal width 24→30mm is about +5g.

Recommended Use Cases
Gravel Racing: Fastest-growing US/EU segment — NA holds ≈40% of the global gravel market (2026); Unbound-style endurance events reward wide 24/30mm beds with 35-50mm tubeless at 35-50 PSI.
Mixed-Surface Adventure: Eurobike 2026 trend toward all-road and 32er builds; this 35mm gravel platform transitions from tarmac to dirt without swapping wheels.
Bikepacking / Expedition: Eurobike/Cyclingworld Europe 2026 highlights bikepacking integration; wide beds carry 40-50mm tyres at low pressure for loaded comfort on rough routes.
Compatibility
Brake Standard: Disc brake, Center Lock rotor (140/160mm)

FAQ
Will the rim crack on rock gardens or bottom-outs at low pressure?
The rim bead area uses a thickened impact-reinforced layer; impact testing passes >60J extreme impacts (above the ISO 30J standard). Inner widths of 24/30mm accept wider tyres, which deform to absorb shock at low pressure.
If the wheel is badly damaged in extreme riding, am I covered?
Yes - beyond the 2-year factory warranty, you get lifetime 30% Crash Replacement: a discounted replacement wheel without paying full price.
Which tyres should I run, and at what pressure?
On the 30mm bed run 35-48c gravel at 35-50 PSI tubeless; on tarmac run 28-32c at 60-75 PSI.
How responsive is the ratchet when I pedal out of a coast?
The DT Swiss 350 runs a 36-tooth star ratchet for about 10-degree engagement, so power returns almost immediately after coasting - reliable and serviceable with basic tools.
Will I really pay no customs or VAT for delivery to the US and EU?
Yes. The Economy channel ships DDP - duties and VAT are fully prepaid by us, cleared in advance, delivered to your door with no extra payment to customs or the courier.
