The Bola XMN30 29er carbon MTB wheelset — a 30mm-internal rim on a BL350 CNC 36T hub with Sapim Race spokes and ceramic bearings, for trail, all-mountain and enduro.

The value 29er upgrade: the XMN30 pairs a 30mm-inner carbon rim with a BL350 CNC 36T hub, TPI ceramic bearings and Sapim Race straight-pull spokes — a durable, stiffer package without the premium price.

Buying Guide.

Internal width - 30mm: 2.2-2.6" tires at ~20-30 PSI tubeless - run a narrow 2.2-2.3" for XC roll speed, a wider 2.4-2.6" for AM or enduro grip.

Hub grade - BL350 CNC 36T: the value-hub choice with crisp engagement and ceramic bearings - choose it when performance matters but the premium hub price does not.

Build choice: straight-pull spokes in a balanced build, HG or XD freehub, 160-180mm rotors - riders over 100kg should ask for a denser spoke build.

Same-family: the value build below the DT Swiss 350 wheelset ($890) - step up to the DT Swiss for a more refined, serviceable hub.

Rated to a 105kg system weight.

Target Audience & Usage Notes.

Trail, enduro, XC and all-mountain riders wanting a cost-effective carbon upgrade.

Not DH or loaded touring; riders over 100kg should consider a 32-spoke build.

The Ride That Awaits.

Roll into the singletrack and feel the ratchet pick up instantly - a lively, value build that carries you up and down without the premium price. Tubeless and wide, it holds a stable contact patch over rough ground, straight-pull spokes stiff under hard cornering. Pick your freehub and set it up; a 2-year wheelset warranty backs the upgrade.

Trade-offs & Considerations
Aero vs Crosswind: The shallow 30mm rim depth gains essentially nothing aerodynamically versus a 25mm profile at 40km/h (under 0.5W), and stays calm at 10° yaw on exposed fire roads; the 30mm internal width trades that marginal aero gain for tire volume and cornering traction.
Weight vs Stiffness: At 1380g the carbon build saves about 485g versus a typical 1865g 30mm alloy competitor (±5g), while lateral stiffness stays within 3% and the T700/T800 layup keeps ISO 4210 impact compliance for trail and enduro.
Tire-Type Trade-off: The hooked bead accepts tubeless MTB tires from about 2.25 to 2.6 inches; tubeless lets you run 20–30 psi for grip, but needs tape, valve and sealant to seal the bed, and the lower pressure trades a little extra pinch-flat protection against rim impacts.
Sourcing & Delivery Trade-off: The stock build ships in 1–3 business days at $540; a custom freehub, decal or lacing adds 7–15 business days and roughly a $60–100 premium.
Config Ladder: The TPI ceramic bearings already cut about 1.5W of hub friction versus steel; moving from 28/28 to 32/32 spokes adds about 60g and markedly more impact margin for heavier riders at roughly +$40, with no extra build time.

FAQ
Which tyres fit and what pressure should I run on the 30mm internal bed?
On the 30mm internal bed, run 29er tubeless at roughly 20–30 PSI — drop to 18–22 PSI for grip on technical trails, raise toward 25–30 PSI on rocky sections to guard the rim.
Will the rim crack on rock gardens or bottom-outs at low pressure?
The bead area uses a thickened impact-reinforced layer; impact testing passes >40J extreme impacts (above the ISO 30J standard). Inner widths of 30mm accept wider tyres, which deform to absorb shock at low pressure.
If my wheel is badly damaged in extreme riding, am I covered?
Yes — beyond the 2-year factory warranty, you get lifetime 30% Crash Replacement: a discounted replacement wheel without paying full price.
Are the bearings durable in rain or rough conditions — do they need frequent service?
The bearings use dual-lip contact labyrinth dust/water seals. No special disassembly is needed for wet riding; a routine grease top-up every ~5,000 km or after each rainy season is enough.
Will I really pay no customs or VAT for delivery to the US and EU?
Yes. The Economy channel ships DDP — duties and VAT are fully prepaid by us, cleared in advance, delivered to your door with no extra payment to customs or the courier.
