The Bola ELT 60R 700C Carbon Disc Wheelset - a light ~1420g 60mm aero set with ceramic bearings, built in Toray T800 unidirectional carbon.

Picture long group rides where sustained speed and tire comfort matter as much as reliability. The Bola ELT 60R pairs a 60mm aero rim with a tubeless-ready wide profile and ceramic-bearing hubs so you hold pace on flats, descend with confidence, and run lower pressures for comfort on rough roads.

Buying Guide.

Internal width - 21mm: run a 28mm tire at 80-95 PSI for smooth tarmac.

Internal width - 24mm: cup a 30-32mm tire at 70-85 PSI for mixed roads.

Internal width - 26mm: settle a 32-40mm tire at 60-75 PSI on rough chipseal.

Max rider weight: rated to 120kg system - check rider and gear before ordering.

Same-depth series: the CLA 60/88 TT set mixes depths at $618 with steel bearings, the ULT 60R adds CX-Ray spokes at $698, and the PRM 60R uses carbon blade spokes at $888 - this ELT is the lightest ceramic deep set before those tiers.

Adjacent depth: the ELT 50R is lighter and calmer in gusts, the ELT 40R climbs easiest - choose this deep set for flat-course aero and paceline speed.

Target Audience & Usage Notes.

For aero road riders, TT/criterium racers, and endurance riders wanting deep-section speed.

Not for technical off-road or heavy bikepacking.

Requires a disc road frame with thru-axles.

Max system weight 120kg.

The Ride That Awaits.

In a fast paceline this rim holds the draft effortlessly - you sit on a wheel with less effort, then the ceramic hub lets the freewheel sing a few extra rotations before you even turn the cranks. Wide rubber at low pressure tames the rough descents that follow. Free shipping, VAT included, and a 3-year rim / 2-year wheelset warranty with 30% crash-replacement cover mean flat-course speed is one order away.

Trade-offs & Considerations
Aero vs Crosswind: The 60mm depth saves about 6.0W versus a 35mm wheel at 40km/h, but at 10° yaw the tall rim demands careful crosswind handling; it is the choice for flat, wind-stable time-trial and sprint stages, not rolling exposed terrain.
Weight vs Stiffness: T800 carbon builds to about 1420g (±5g), about 110g heavier than the 50mm ELT 50R simply because the deeper rim uses more material; lateral stiffness stays within 3%, and the extra rim mass sits at the outside where it aids momentum on smooth tarmac.
Tire-Type Trade-off: The hooked / hookless bed runs 25–40c tubeless: 21mm for 28mm at 80–95 PSI, 24mm for 30–32mm at 70–85 PSI, 26mm for 32–40mm at 60–75 PSI. Wider tyres calm the deep rim and lower rolling drag at the cost of a little aero.
Sourcing & Delivery Trade-off: Stock builds ship in 1–3 business days at $579; a custom width or freehub spec adds 7–15 business days and roughly a $60–100 premium.
Config Ladder: The ceramic BL200 hub and 54T ratchet (6.7° engagement) are standard; moving from the 21mm to the 26mm internal bed adds about 30–50g for wider, calmer tyres, and a carbon-spoke upgrade over Pillar 1420 steel spokes would save about 60–80g for roughly +$150 and 5 extra build days.

Recommended Use Cases
Road Racing: 2026 peloton standard runs 28-30mm tubeless on wide rims (TdF 2026 average ≈30mm); this 60mm section suits 40+ km/h racing and flat-to-rolling stages.
Gran Fondo / Endurance: All-day rides on modern frames designed around 30-32mm tyre clearance (Giant Propel, Cannondale SuperSix, Cervélo S5, 2026); wide 21mm bed pairs 25-32mm tubeless for comfort and speed.
Sprinting / Criterium: Deep-section aero for flat crits and sprint finishes; stable crosswind handling rewards steady hands on open courses.
Compatibility
Brake Standard: Disc brake, Center Lock rotor (140/160mm)
Axle: Front 12x100 / Rear 12x142 thru-axle
Freehub: Shimano HG / SRAM XDR (select at checkout)

FAQ
Will this wheelset bolt straight onto my Shimano groupset?
A Shimano HG freehub is fitted, so an HG cassette mounts directly; note at checkout if you run SRAM XD/XDR and we will fit the matching body.
How does the rim handle crosswinds on exposed descents?
An optimised 60mm profile keeps steering torque predictable at 10°–15° yaw, so this deep aero rim stays composed and planted on fast descents.
Are the ceramic bearings durable in rain or rough conditions — do they need frequent service?
The bearings use dual-lip contact labyrinth dust/water seals. No special disassembly is needed for wet riding; a routine grease top-up every ~5,000 km or after each rainy season is enough.
Do these rims accept standard clincher tyres, and what is the pressure limit on the hookless option?
Hooked rims accept standard clincher tyres directly. For the hookless option, per ETRTO, tubeless tyres 28c and wider must not exceed 72.5 PSI (5.0 bar) to prevent unseating.
Will I really pay no customs or VAT for delivery to the US and EU?
Yes. The Economy channel ships DDP — duties and VAT are fully prepaid by us, cleared in advance, delivered to your door with no extra payment to customs or the courier.
